Kepler Weber treats is waste water depending on its origin and the characteristics of the effluent and this way minimizes the potentially harmful effects it could have on the environment. It has put in place exclusive ducts to capture water from the cafeteria, locker rooms, and bathrooms from the entire factory that send the water to the Sanitary Effluent Treatment Station, which is also called Biological Treatment Station. Wastes coming from the production and painting sector of the factory, on the other hand, are sent to the Industrial Effluent Treatment Station where they are treated according to their peculiarities.

The Treatment Stations that make up KW's Effluent Treatment System operate according to the production volume of the units connected to them. .

This program has the purpose of managing the waste generated by KW, including materials resulting from the industrial production process and those categorized as office trash. Waste Centers were built at the Panambi (RS) and Campo Grande (MS) units where the materials to be discarded are quantified, separated, and temporarily stored to be treated or recycled at a later time by outsourced service companies.

KW also encourages Separating the Trash in its units. Almost all of the waste generated inside the company is sent for treatment or recycling in external companies. Only organic and non-recyclable wastes from human activity are sent to the City Trash Landfill, which makes Kepler Weber the first company in the northeast region of Rio Grande do Sul to be fully committed with the environment.

Kepler Weber develops with its internal public environmental awareness actions through training that addresses themes such as Selective Trash Collection, Waste Management at the workplace and in the manufacturing units, Classification of the Environmental Impacts, and Environmental Legislation.

Parallel to this the company frequently holds projects with the community such as social service focused on environmental education of the next generations developed in partnership with Rui Barbosa Municipal School in the city of Panambi (RS). The Recycled Paper Workshop was implemented, especially focused on children in the 7th and 8th grades. The company also gives courses to the school teachers and directors on issues such as forms of pollution, the planet's current situation, environmental aspects and impacts, and practical attitudes for preserving nature in order to form multipliers of awareness and environmental responsibility throughout the society.
